Titles are a method of recognizing and celebrating the lifetime career and production successes in alpacas throughout Canada. Owners can apply to have titles added to the names and registration of their animals who meet the criteria for each title.

The presence of these titles on a Canadian alpaca's registration records indicates to the public and to other breeders that this animal has displayed consistent qualities in their show and breeding careers to be honored in this way. As animal's career progresses, and as further benchmarks are met, additional titles can be applied for and added to that animal's records as a means of tracking and displaying its ongoing accomplishments throughout its lifetime.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for registration of a title, an alpaca must first be CLAA registered and their owner must be an Alpaca Canada and CLAA member in good standing. To meet the criteria for each title, all class placements and wins must be earned in Alpaca Canada sanctioned events.

Please fill out this application for each individual alpaca whose titles you are applying for.

Title Application

The cost of a title application is $10.00 + GST per alpaca/per application submitted, not per title, paid to the CLAA following verification of point details.
