We are pleased to offer Saints Alpacas Sam's Kaleigh in this year's Alpaca Canada Futurity&Select Sale. Kaleigh is a beautiful young girl with huge bones and exceptional coverage. Her fleece has a very soft handle, medium density and a long staple length. Her dam, Foxwood's Katie Why, has done well in the show ring placing 2nd in Lloydminster 2006, Judge Val Fullerlove; 2nd in the Odyssey Show Edmonton, Judge Lisa Schimeld. This is no surprise considering Katie Why's cria fleece had a micron count of 17.9! Kaleigh's fine fleece does not only come from her dam's side but also from her sire HP Cool Hand Luke, who's cria fleece was tested at 16.9microns.

We have chosen to breed Aztec D'kota to Saints Alpacas Kaleigh to continue with the fineness and density. D'kota's cria fleece was 18.4 microns and only 0.3% >30. D'kota has also won GRAND CHAMPION MALE- Rich Valley & BEST OF SHOW, judged by Cathy Merkley. Judges' comments were 'FIRM first place standing, no coarse fibres, beautiful handle, excellent conformation'.

Victor's Vaccoyo is a renowned sire of show ring champions, both in the United States and Canada. He has produced crias in every one of ARI's twenty-two natural colours. We were pleasantly surprised when Sunnyhill's Whychin was born, we had a colored female with lots of vigor, as she dried we could see that not only was she colored but she had above average density and her fleece formed into nice little bright curly locks. We sold Whychin's fleece to a very talented hand spinner who said it was one of the nicest brown fleeces that she had ever come across; the color and character were consistent throughout her blanket.

It is no shock that Whychin is a lovely girl, she is a ¾ Peruvian with some accoyo genetics; breed this girl to color and she will be a top producers. She comes from an excellent line of dams that are made to have babies, they birth easy, and the babies grow well and are easily rebred. Lollipop lollipop Oh lolli lolli Lollipop…" This little Lollipop has very dense fleece and NO medullation. She is well put together with very large bones and perfect conformation. She has an awesome pedigree and would be an excellent addition to any herd. Her dam, a Reserve Grand Champion, is the best producer on our farm and her sire is a multiple Supreme Champion Male, Birchleaf Candyman. With these genetics you know she will produce quality cria who will no doubt do well in the show ring. Saints Alpacas Lollipop will be sold bred to our exclusive male High Plains Avro.

In 2007 he won Best of Head at the Fibre Fair; Reserve Grand Champion Male -Fibre Fair.

In 2008 he placed 3rd -A.L.P.A.C.A Northlands Spring Show; 1st- Lloydminster Alpaca Showcase; 1st Senior Male Dark- A.L.P.A.C.A Odysssey Show Edmonton. To finish his show career as a senior male High Plains Avro won Grand Champion Brown Male at the 2009 A.L.P.A.C.A Spring Show.
